We had such a tease this past week and weekend with 60-80 degree weather (currently it's in the 50's and drizzling...so there's that) which inspired me to finish up the recap of getaway looks from our trip to the Caymans. I am still working on the actual destination review, and loving going through all the images we captured while we were there. I know I have said it before, but the Caymans are such a gorgeous destination.
This shoot was during an afternoon of exploring at their outdoor mall, which completely reminded me of South Coast Plaza in Southern CA. It was filled with high end boutiques, cafes, restaurants and workout studios all surrounded with palm trees, crystal clear water and even a fe lizards (who I wanted to take home). It was a perfect spot for an afternoon stroll and leisurely lunch (which really should be the only kind of lunch).
Just behind me was a small island where you could rent SUPs, waverunners, kayaks etc. - how awesome is that?! Left me totally wishing our malls had this set up!
As for the dress, it's a piece by Yumi Kim, who happens to be one of my favorite designers, and it was epitome of a vacation dress; light, breezy and equipped with pockets (a must have). The low cut front and the criss-cross back were the selling features for me though - I am obsessed with both.
Cheers to the almost weekend!
