If I had to pick a style staple it would be boyfriends jeans, or shorts and a button down. It's my go-to, 'I don't feel like getting dressed but I still want to look put together' look. Especially when we travel, it's the first thing that goes into my suitcase and likely what I will be wearing on the plane. It's beyond comfortable and flattering on even my worst "I feel fat" days (yes, I have them).
This red top is from Express, and is likely the softest piece of clothing that I own. I am almost afraid to wash it for fear of it loosing it's feel. As for boyfriend denim...the Gap is my go to (so imagine my sadness knowing that so many of their retail locations are closing), their denim fits me perfectly and does not get all loose and baggy after a few wears like a lot of denim does. Right now they are completely sold out of this wash, but have similar style on sale here.
While traveling I like to spend on day wandering the destination, stopping in at shops along the way and getting a walking tour of the city. It's the best way to see it (other than running it). So while in Austin we fully explored the downtown area, hit some great shops, and then made our way to South Congress which is a personal favorite of mine in Austin. South Congress St. is filled with unique shops, musicians on street corners, food trucks and Perla's...our favorite outdoor patio spot in the city. I can't wait to share my new fringe purse I scored at a great little boutique on South Congress for less than $50!
We also had to make a stop at Jo's for some coffee...so yummy!
I love recapping our travels, capturing images takes the memories with us once we return home. I keep saying I am going to print our photos and make a collage wall but I have yet to do so. It is on my to do list though for the spring so stay tuned.
