We saved the most luxury hotel for the last leg of our trip, which isn't to say that the others weren't luxurious, but that the last had just a little extra sparkle. The hotel was the First Luxury Art Hotel and by far it has been one of my favorite properties to date. Our room was more like a flat with two living rooms, two full-size bathrooms, dining area, entry and large bedroom. We had views of the city and quiet side street below and the location was fabulous. We literally walked everywhere in Rome.
Best of all was the rooftop deck with dining, bar and outdoor gym. I mean the only thing it was missing was a pool...which would have been pretty epic.
To say they spoiled us during our stay would be an understatement. Again our concierge took care of all our dinner reservations, tickets, tours and had excellent suggestions for local cafes and hot spots. We would have been lost (literally) without her. Not to mention the service at this place - I mean I thought it and it was there, craving a coffee - they made it perfectly, late night munchies - they had us covered, need a cab - they would have a black car ready. Such a great way to end our adventure...without a care in the world.
I miss this view, I miss the vibrant city but most of all I miss the travel. Cheers to more adventures sooner rather than later.
