Mountain Style

This past weekend we headed north to Sugarloaf Mountain Resort for Homecoming Weekend which is basically like a haven of outdoor music, yummy food stunning fall foliage and my personal favorite...chairlift rides. The weather could not have been more "fall" with crisp mornings, evening fog and some rain showers (which I loved from inside but not so much on the chairlift down the mountain).

Equal to my love of boots & dresses, you will also notice that I love vests and skinnies from fall all thru winter. Again, goes right along with the 'easy' theme of pulling a great outfit together in a limited amount of time. I also love that vests can easily come off to transition looks and be layered on top of just about anything (except maybe fur vests and workout clothes...not sure that would go well).

I snagged this new hot pink vest from J. Crew last week - on sale for $35 folks! A total steal.

They also have additional colors if hot pink isn't your thaaaang.

But lets be real, who doesn't love hot pink?

As for the booties? They are a few years old, but you can find similar versions here & here.

We've got probably another week of fall foliage here in Maine, and then plan on catching some farther south with a hike in NH next weekend & a trip down to MA to visit family. This year the colors are so vibrant - I want to take in as much scenery as I can.

Plus fall foliage is the perfect excuse for long drives sipping coffee and making pit stops for locally baked treats (some of my most favorite things...other than champs & working out [which I realize are so incredibly opposite, but regardless make me equally as happy]).
