"Can't stop won't stop" said winter to March.
But really, that happened which is why you still see snow on the ground.
That said, these chilly spring temperatures make for perfect weekend getaways filled with chunky knits and layers for daytime wanderings and cozy fireside evenings sipping champane. Which is exatlay what we enjoyed during our stay last week at the Camden Harbour Inn.
Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the hotel manager, as in he came outside to our car to meet us as we were stepping out, welcoming us and offering to assist with our bags. And if that's not 5 star service I don't know what is!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a roaring fireplace, soft music in the background and sweeping views of the water...and I was immediately relaxed (which is hard to do for me!)
Our room itself was equally as luxurious with a spacious floorplan, beautifully tiled and upgraded spa bathroom and private deck overlooking the water. Both the husband and I commented how we could easily move right in!
One of my favorite parts of the whole stay? Well...I should say two of my favorites because dinner that evening (although I wasn't able to snag any photos due to being too involved in the experience and company) was one of the most unreal dining adventures I have ever been on with course after course of creative and absolutely delicious courses.
But right after dinner, literally, breakfast the next day (which by the way is included in their rates) was also one for the books - complete with personalized menus, multiple delectable course and superb service. I could not have asked for more!
What elements of a hotel stay do you look forward to and love the most?

I have always struggled with spring fashion; first world problem...I know.
(for me at least)
I'm either jumping the gun and not wearing enough OR am overdressed and feel like a morbid fish out of water in my dark wardrobe and big coat.
So this year I have decided that to balance it out I am simply going to break out all of my brights and pair them with over the knee boots and furs.
(faux...don't worry PETA friends)
Thus eliminating the need for tights and coats and allowing for an easy transition should an afternoon randomly warm up past 60 degrees (which I'm praying starts happening soon).
So far this plan is working well, and the only issue I've run into is not having enough fur vests or wraps...which I've easily solved with a little online shopping.
(at like 50-75% off I might add due to the whole "winter is out/spring is in" situation at every shopping institute)
Really, this is a genious idea. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner.
I've also been boycotting my bigger coats, and opting for a wrap or leather jacket wherever we go, which, has proved favorable for me in most cases.
Though I will admit there have been a few evenings that I've thought to myself...
"Welp, shoulda worn that bigger coat"
But that's nothing another glass of champs can't fix right?!
And with that said - cheers to Friday, and the weekend, and all things not work!
