Fall Must Haves

September 16, 2015
Even though the temperatures are still in the 70's and 80's I can't help but dream of Fall. Not only is it my favorite season, it's also the best season for fashion. The colors, textures, patterns and layers...have I mentioned how much I love layers lately?

Here are some pieces I am lusting over;

A good vest - I can't wait to throw this on with skinnies
Loafers - SO excited these are back in
Wool hat - no explanation needed...it's a hat and I love hats
Plaid Dress - I am a little nervous about this trend...but if done right it's going to be magic
Floral Dress - Loving these rich tones and bold prints
Chunky Gold Necklace - perfect for layering and especially for wearing with chunky sweaters
Strappy Heels & Over the Knee Boots - both must haves for Fall
Faux (of course) Fur Stole - perfect piece to dress up any wool coat or blazer
Weekender Tote - great for work and staycations
Canvas Watch - nautical style of course

I had the honor of being asked by one of my oldest and very dearest friends to be the Maid of Honor in her upcoming Santa Barbara wedding. A wedding that I feel like we have been planning since the day we met and I cannot wait to see how it all comes together in a few short weeks.

It's been an exciting year being along for the ride with her with all the planning and wedding goodness. I have enjoyed all of the flowers, color palettes, favor ideas, dress shopping getaways in fun cities like Boston & NYC and all the yummy cupcakes we have enjoyed over long chats of wedding planning (cupcakes are a must...and coffee). And now it all comes together to the final weekend before her big day and we are celebrating in style with a Napa wine tasting weekend getaway!

Here's what's on my packing list for a weekend full of the spa, wine, food & girl time.

Napa Bachelorette Weekend Getaway

You can keep up with me this weekend while I am in Napa by following me on Instagram. I will be posting photos of all the festivities including the welcome bags that I have been planning for months and can't wait to share! Cheers to celebrating the bride to be and my very own BFF.

In the spirit of travel, and since I am in Fiji, I figured a resort wear post would be a great way to end the week...it is Friday here afterall!

When packing for travel I try to stick with the same hues so that I can minimize my accessories and shoes that I need to bring. One of my favorite summer color palettes is pastels - because really it's the only time of year I can get away with them because I actually have some color on my skin.

Here are my resort staples which are all versatile and can easily be worn day & night and with just a few new pieces like these you can take your existing wardrobe and easily create looks for up to 10 days. This keeps your costs down and allows you to use your own style favorites that you already own!
